Nostroma Dress

The Nostroma dress was inspired by the aesthetic of the 1979 movie Alien and its spaceship Nostromo. I created the chest plate for this look in Autodesk Maya and 3D printed it through Shapeways with their Nylon powder material. Post processing of this piece included cleaning, assembly, and finishing with a coat of hi-gloss black paint. The dress for this look was sewn from black mesh lace and features a crossover pleat in the center.

The Nostroma chest plate has been featured in the MAC Cosmetics Halloween campaign and worn by the Alien queen in Camille Abordo’s music video Sounds From Outer Space.
